| Samenvatting | This dissertation explores the feasibility, efficiency, and operational potential of offshore wind farms with DC collector grids. An efficiency analysis shows a 2.5 % gain in annual energy yield compared to AC-based layouts. Two DC topologies are assessed, with the parallel configuration identified as more robust and feasible. A hierarchical control scheme enables ancillary services such as inertia support and black-start capability. A modular modeling framework enables stability analysis, offering further insights into the viability of offshore DC grids. |
